>Brain Rot
Oxford University Press has chosen “brain rot” as its word of the year, with the definition stating it as “supposed deterioration of a person’s mental or intellectual state, especially viewed as a result of overconsumption of material (now particularly online content) considered to be trivial or unchallenging. Also: something characterized as likely to lead to such deterioration.”
Experts suggest endless social media scrolling may be "rotting our brains." In an interview, behavioral neuroscientist Dr. Kyra Bobinet explains that excessive online use leads to shorter attention spans, brain fog, reduced productivity, loneliness, and difficulty forming relationships.

>Origins of the Drones
President-elect Trump accused the Biden administration of withholding information about unexplained drone sightings in New Jersey, New York, and other states. Speaking at Mar-a-Lago on Monday, Trump claimed the U.S. military knows the drones' origins, and declined to comment if he had received intel briefings on the drones.
Meanwhile, an X user named "Jersey Futures," shared a detailed thread analyzing the mysterious drone sightings, showcasing apparent extensive industry knowledge despite remaining anonymous.
We also covered the expansion of the drone story on today’s podcast program…

TRUMP 2024
President-elect Donald Trump is reportedly exploring privatizing the U.S. Postal Service, which could impact shipping, supply chains, and federal jobs.
Trump discussed the idea with Howard Lutnick, his commerce secretary pick, and sought input from transition officials at a recent meeting. Trump, informed of the Postal Service’s $9.5 billion annual loss and $80 billion in liabilities, said the government should not subsidize the agency, according to anonymous sources.
Additionally, Biden’s 2021 executive order mandates all federal vehicles to be zero-emission by 2035. Under the pressure from the Biden administration’s push for electric vehicles, USPS must commit to additional spending despite their financial struggles.
In December 2023, the Postal Service committed to making 75% of its Next Generation Delivery Vehicles electric within five years and achieving a fully electric fleet by 2028. However, the Washington Post reported delays in its order for 60,000 electric mail trucks from defense contractor Oshkosh, which lacks experience in postal vehicle production.
It is expected that Trump may cancel the massive electric vehicle order once he takes the Oval Office.

THE LEFT 2024
A fact check reveals that the “prisoner” CNN helped free from a secret Syrian facility was a notorious member of Assad's forces known for torturing those who refused to pay him.
Last week, CNN went viral with journalist Clarissa Ward describing the rescue as "one of the most extraordinary moments" of her career. In reality, the innocent prisoner was actually Salama Mohammad Salama, a prominent executioner and torturer who worked under the ousted leader, Bashar al-Assad.
Fact-checkers Verify-Sy report that Salama was an official Syrian air force intelligence officer accused of war crimes. CNN had claimed he was a lone prisoner, unaware the Assad regime had fallen.
There is now a Community Note posted on Ward’s post of the “unidentified prisoner” that reads: “His real name is "Salama Mohammad Salama," known as "Abu Hamza," is a first lieutenant in Syrian Air Force Intelligence, notorious for his activities in Homs. He had a role in killing civilians, and was responsible for detaining and torturing men. CNN’s report was staged.”
In the CNN footage, Salama appeared well-kept and shaven, unlike a traditional prisoner in the Syrian gulags.
ALSO: ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith criticized Democrats on his podcast Sunday after a DOJ report revealed details about the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. Inspector General Michael Horowitz disclosed there were 26 confidential sources in the crowd, but only three were FBI-assigned, emphasizing none were directed to break the law or incite illegal acts. III: BORDERLESS
Countries like Honduras are bracing for a potential influx of migrants as President-elect Trump prepares to take office in January, promising mass deportations.
Central American nations, long sources of migration to the U.S., fear they are unprepared for the return of these migrant populations. Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador could face the greatest impact from Trump’s planned mass deportations, said Jason Houser, former ICE chief of staff. With countries like Venezuela rejecting deportation flights, Trump may prioritize deporting non-criminal migrants with removal orders to boost deportation numbers quickly.
“We don’t have the capacity” to take so many people, said Antonio García, Honduras’ deputy foreign minister. “There’s very little here for deportees.”
Todd Bensman of the Center for Immigration Studies reported that many migrants in a Mexican camp are returning home after Trump’s election win. Meanwhile, Border Patrol warns the Biden administration continues admitting large numbers of migrants daily via the CBP One app.
ALSO: Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson responded Saturday to Trump’s deportation plans with a speech full of progressive rhetoric but avoided directly answering whether he would block the efforts. Appearing on CNN, Johnson repeatedly dodged questions, focusing instead on what all leftists do worst: criticize Trump. Read More Here.
