I: TeamDML REPORT

Can Congress act quick?

What’s Happening…

FROM DML

>The clock is ticking…

The widely disliked government spending bill unveiled earlier this week to keep the government funded until March of next year is dead.

House Republican leaders withdrew the three-month government funding package amid opposition from President-elect Trump and GOP members, and non-congressional members such DOGE’s Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. Lawmakers are exploring alternative options ahead of Friday’s shutdown deadline.

The reversal followed widespread outrage over added spending provisions and other additional endeavors that have compacted the 1,500+ bill with “pork” legislation (a major provision was a salary hike for Congress members). But now the question becomes if the country will have to embrace a potential government shutdown after tomorrow night. The Democrats will have to agree to whatever is brought next to the table; Denny’s report has the details on the new bill…

FROM DENNY

>The new bill

House Republicans have reached an alternative deal to avoid a government shutdown, extending funding for three months and suspending the debt limit for two years, as President-elect Trump requested. The plan includes $110 billion in disaster relief for disaster relief victims, aid for farmers, and health care provisions but excludes Pharmacy Benefit Manager reforms opposed by some lawmakers.

Trump posted about the “Plan B” bill on Truth Social, lauding it as “a very good deal for the American People.”

Trump also urged lawmakers with the following: “All Republicans, and even the Democrats, should do what is best for our Country, and vote “YES” for this Bill, TONIGHT!”

FROM RYAN

>Crenshaw crumbles

The looming deadline for the government shutdown has left an atmosphere of tension in D.C. That notion has become clear with the latest series of profanity-heavy posts by Republican Representative Dan Crenshaw.

The Texas rep is a retired Navy SEAL and Purple Heart recipient and has served in Congress since 2019. However, he has increasingly clashed with conservatives over time, mainly over some of his decision-making reflecting that of a RINO.

In an outburst, he tweeted at journalist Nick Sortor over the controversy surrounding the spending bill, including a 40% pay raise for Congress members. The posts were so explicit and unbecoming of a congressman in the opinion of some on X that it has led some to question his sobriety at the time of these responses.

II: WHITE HOUSE 2024

Keep Mike; Boot Fani

TRUMP 2024

President-elect Donald Trump told Fox News Digital that Speaker Mike Johnson will "easily remain speaker" if he "acts decisively" and removes "Democratic traps" in any spending package brought forward.

Trump’s comments followed the collapse of a bipartisan deal to avoid a government shutdown. They also come following a growing number of voices calling for Johnson to be removed as House Speaker.

“If the speaker acts decisively, and tough, and gets rid of all of the traps being set by the Democrats, which will economically and, in other ways, destroy our country, he will easily remain speaker,” said Trump.

Congress will vote on January 3 to elect the next Speaker of the House, as Trump urges Republicans to act on his agenda immediately rather than waiting for his inauguration.

The Twisted Minds of Killers

THE LEFT 2024

The FBI detained 20-year-old Alexander Paffendorf of Carlsbad for plotting a mass shooting at a government building in coordination with Madison school shooter Natalie “Samantha” Rupnow.

Authorities discovered Paffendorf had communicated with Rupnow, planning to use explosives and a gun in his attack. Paffendorf admitted his intentions during questioning, with FBI agents confirming messages were sent from Paffendorf to Rupnow.

A neighbor recounted seeing about 15 armed officers raid Paffendorf’s apartment, retrieving a black gun box. He also noted Paffendorf’s suspicious behavior the night after the shooting.

Mangione will be held at Rikers Island in isolation and protective custody. Read More Here.

III: BORDERLESS

Underneath the Lies

Investigative journalist James O’Keefe released another undercover video Wednesday, claiming Biden administration members are revealing secrets.

After the release, O’Keefe made the following announcement on social media: “It’s happening. Federal government employees are starting to come forward. They’re going to expose corruption and keep their jobs. Signal: 9144919395. 2025 is going to be LIT 🔥.”

He also wrote: “We caught another top official in the Govt — spilling the secrets. Release today. Tape imminent….”

An undercover video shows Robert P. Silvers, DHS Under Secretary of Policy, discussing Biden’s poor health and record-high illegal immigration during his tenure, admitting numbers have spiked.
